Colossians

The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Colossians to address the church in Colossae, a community of believers wrestling to fully comprehend the profound implications of Christ's work on their behalf. They were facing various false teachings that diminished Christ's authority, leading to confusion about how they should live out their faith. In response, Colossians provides a deeply theological understanding of Christ's absolute supremacy over all creation and his sufficiency for salvation. It powerfully communicates the reality that because of Christ's finished work, believers are complete in Him and no longer need to strive for acceptance through human rituals or philosophies.
